Winter's Tale

No, I seriously DID become a fan of ranting on facebook. xD

This week Gubler gets to flex his formidable — albeit slender — acting pecs, delving deep into Reid’s inner demons. Ever since that bone-chilling post-Super Bowl two-parter, when a psycho killer played by James Van Der Beekpumped him full of Dilaudid (a prescription drug similar to heroin), Reid just can’t say no to drugs.

“He’s wondering whether he can even still function at his job,” Gubler says. A chance meeting with an old archrival forces him to confront his addiction — with startling consequences. “I usually try to make Reid lovable, so this is killing me,” he says. “I think fans are going to hate him, but [the addiction] makes him human.”

From this site.

<rant> So I actually kind of like the fact that Dr. Reid gained a drug addiction. xD Don’t get me wrong, It’s sad and all but as Mr. Gubler himself said, it makes Dr. Reid more human and also, gah. I really can’t explain it. For me, I love seeing Reid not being able to handle something. I watched re-runs and new episodes of Criminal Minds before starting the show from the beginning so I saw Elle Greenaway having troubles, I saw Derek Morgan accused of murder, I knew Aaron Hotchner was divorced, and I knew there was a deeper meaning to Jason Gideon suddenly not being on the show besides ‘he must have retired’. Seeing the episode where Dr. Reid was kidnapped and drugged and then him taking the drugs after the UnSub was killed, made the adorable nerd who knew everything real for me. Not to mention finding out about his mom’s condition but that really didn’t seem to affect Reid at work. The drugs REALLY did. He was rude to Emily Prentiss and his team witnessed that. Yes, Emily confronted him, asking him if he was okay because she’s never seen him like that and Dr. Reid blows up at her saying she doesn’t know him well enough to say that but his team knows him. His team knew there was something wrong when he misinterpreted Emily’s helping him on victimology or whatever they were working on…

My mother had been telling me that he gets clean, he’s no longer addicted. So I’ve been on the lookout for an episode that really shows Reid confronting the addiction… As of now I am starting (in my “Watching-in-Order Marathon) episode 6 from season 3 and there hasn’t been a big scene about it yet. And since I have knowledge on drugs and what it does and especially since this drug, Dilaudid, is injected where the forearm meets the arm at the elbow… If Reid were still taking the drug, he wouldn’t want to show off his elbows and the marks from taking the drug. But Reid has been rolling his sleeves up and wearing shirts with short sleeves so I just don’t get what is going on. Perchance my mother saw episode 24 of season four: “Finally, in “Amplification” (4.24) Reid risks himself severely to save Washington D.C. from anthrax and almost dies as a result. Even while in pain, he refuses medication, so he is clearly still clean from his drug use” (IMDb) and that may be the episode where it talks a lot about this addiction. I will have to wait to get to that episode to find out.

For now, I am leaving all present knowledge behind (which is SUPER hard for me! I also have an eidetic memory…). But I do so love Dr. Reid having this addiction! I am sorry but I… enjoy it. No idea why. Don’t ask.

“*Spencer Reid talks about fire being an arsonist’s drug… the team looks at him knowingly* real subtle, Criminal Minds writers. xD hahahaha I KNEW that one talk with Gideon couldn’t get him off heroine THAT quickly! (is it wrong that I love seeing Reid with an addiction…? :s” -my facebook </rant>

A few updates since it’s been awhile…

1. School – college started. I have some great classes: Group Communication, Introduction to Theatre, and Modern Dance. The communication… is okay. Not my first choice but its transfer units in a section I need to complete so I need the class. We get to take a fun survey soon to test our personality so there are different types of people in our groups. I am excited for that. Intro to Theatre is stuff I already know so its easy credits to get enough for my A.A. And Modern Dance I need for High School P.E. credits. At the end of Spring semester, I will have 60.5 units – .5 more than I need. :)

2. Internship – Cyrano. Fun, fun, fun. I am a stagehand/ninja. I get to wear all black and sneak around backstage helping with props and costumes and hairs and makeups.

3. Story updates. I am starting a Criminal Minds fanfiction because I feel like it. And I am now in creative writing at the high school so it’s inspired me to write. So I have that fanfic and a few originals I am thinking about.

4. Snow. Its snowing off and on here! Not sticking yet but its fun to watch!

5. May/June. I will graduate with my Associate in Arts degree this May 2010 and from High School this June 2010. May is prom and the senior trip to Disneyland. June is the END of my high school career!! ^_^

You just lost the game.

Criminal Minds is a really good show.

Hahaha! It IS! Gosh! Leave me alone! Just ’cause I am cooler than you… :P

So. Let’s see what I talk about too much. That will be the new purpose of my blog. Check back occasionally to see which tags in the cloud are the biggest. My guess is Harry Potter will be quite large. WAIT! This is the first I’ve mentioned Potter on my blog! NO! Horrid fan girl! Bad, Kyriè! Talk about Potter more!!!

“rant about Pokemon and how it steals kids’s lives just as much as World of Warcraft with teen aged nerds. lol.” <– friend tweeted me this suggestion sooooo: Pokémon is quite amazing but it steals souls. Mine is currently within Pikachu. My in-mint-condition-Pikachu card. :) Now to find him… *goes in search* Damn not only is he in mint condition, he’s in a box somewhere so you get a picture of a random Naruto card instead (not so random because I picked it out).

Gaara from Naruto

Isn't Gaara so cute!??

^_^ Yay! Now on to WoW – I HATE THAT GAME! End of WoW rant. For today. Tonight. Whatever.

So somebody made this facebook flair where they are talking with their friend… Annie: Does anyone ever choose Slytherin? George: No, because that would be like saying “I’m a sociopath”. <– I guess I am a sociopath. :s Apparently you can tell early on… Like as a child/teen. Do you think I am a sociopath? Me too.
