There are two gals on inkpop who are really amazing and made this cool publishing company for YA writers all over the world!
From their site:
Reuts, pronounced |root s|, publishes without the boundaries of state borders, legislation, or rule. We are run through an online base camp with our staff located across the country, and with one goal in mind: publishing quality novels of authors looking to be published. Those a part of Reuts have been through the publishing process before; the querying, the waiting, the impersonal response (and often times rejection). And repeat. But here at Reuts, we’re looking to redefine the relationship authors develop with their publishers. We welcome new authors to established authors looking for a home with a growing company.
Reuts looks to explore every avenue the publishing market has to offer, from traditional, to ebooks, and those in between, based on the specific needs of your manuscript.
Anybody can submit their query and first ten pages (or closest cutoff) and be looked over. True, some will be rejected but to have little restrictions on submission requirements is one of the best things Reuts does for authors. I know authors who get dejected when they see a requirement that they don’t fit… (wrong country, too young, no agent, not been published before [in a school or local thing, too])… so I think what Reuts is doing will get quite a number of authors to come to them for publication or even guidance.
(They also already have a book with their company: Morningside)
